The Banner Group with both its Business Units “Automotive” and “Energy Solutions” is an international supplier of battery solutions.

Since 1937 the company has been producing batteries for vehicles of all types. The automotive sector covers a wide range with starter, on-board and leisure batteries, in original equipment (OE) or subsequent (IAM). These products are mostly developed and manufactured at the company headquarters in Leonding (Austria).

In the Energy Solutions Business Unit based in Thalheim near Wels, the traction, semi-traction and standby production sectors are developed in particular.

The family business, under the management of Andreas Bawart and Thomas Bawart, employs around 800 people across Europe. Future-oriented technology and excellent quality underline the international fame of the leading projects with the “power of the buffalo” which also characterizes the Banner logo.
